KARDASHIAN KOLLECTION FOR LIPSY - UPDATE

It's very nearly time for another Kardashian Kollection; on the 24th of October the newest Kardashian Kollection is being released in Lipsy stores and online and we're excited to finally see all of the new pieces. I feel like this Kollection hasn't been too well advertised and it's only in the last few weeks that it's been featuring on the Lipsy website, Glamour magazine and other social media sites. The photos below show some of the pieces from the new Kollection and there's definitely been a lot of Lipsy influence. The Kollection so far appears to feature a lot of glamourous red and black as well as their trusty, classic leopard print! We always thought that the Kollection didn't really suit Dorothy Perkins, as to us, Dorothy Perkins isn't the most on trend and fashionable of stores for their target audience, however we're also not sure Lipsy was the right move either. As expected the prices, that were already pretty high for high street, have shot up ranging from £30-£150, with the average dress being around the £55-£60 mark. The Kollection does fit in nicely with Lipsy's own prices, however it's now on the less affordable side which I think will annoy most fans and make the Kollection less appealing as we personally wouldn't spend that much on an average dress, unless it was for a special occassion. Moreover, it appears even the blouses and skirts are highly priced and we're even less likely to spend a lot on one blouse, when you can buy nice ones elsewhere for a lot cheaper! I definitely don't think we'll be buying as much as we normally do from the Kollection.

There's 40 pieces in the Kollection so the UK Kollection is still no where near as extensive as the Kollection that they have with Sears in America, (who do ship internationally)!

 (Left-Right)
Khloé - Red cut out neckline bodycon dress £50.00
Kourtney - Black lace jumpsuit £75.00 and Cropped full feather jacket £150.00 (Woaaahh)!
Kim - Red long sleeve midi dress £65.00

Kim - Tribal caviar dress £55
Kim - Black long sleeve shift dress £55
 Kourtney - Chiffon shirt £40 & skirt £48
Khloe - Long sleeve lace dress £55

So, there's a little sneak peak of the latest Kollection; you can view the whole Kollection online at www.lipsy.co.uk on Thursday 24th October. So far we like the Kollection but none of the pieces are really sreaming out to us, especially for the prices. We like the skirt and Kim's Caviar dress, so we are excitied to see the rest of the Kollection.

What do you think of the new Kollection so far? Will you be buying anything?

KARDASHIAN KOLLECTION FOR LIPSY

Without sounding like a totally obsessed stalker; while following all of the Kardashians on instagram, especially Kourtney, I couldn't help but yern for the next Kardashian Kollection to be released. All three of the Kardashians upload various pieces of their kollection and it all looks so amazing on them. (I'm starting to realise I may be revealing too many girl crushes!). A vague release date of the new Autumn/Winter Kardashian Kollection has finally been announced for October.  However, an additional surprise has also been handed to us; the collection will no longer be sold at Dorothy Perkins, moving instead to Lipsy! I'm not yet fully decided on my opinion on this!

Thrilled by the news there will be another collection available for us in the UK, I can't help but be curious of the logistics of the change and the reasons. That is, there are only around thirteen stores in the UK the rest being concessions, so will there be enough of the Kollection in the High Street for all of us, a serious concern!

Initially I was surprised to learn that it would be in Lipsy, however I thought the same thing of Dorthy Perkins, as in my view it has a very different target audience and style, for example DP's range of basics is far from the dresses and blazers of the previous Kollections. In saying this I think that Lipsy does have a much more young, glamorous and dressy style that should suit the Kollection more, as well as hitting the target consumers more effectively. Also Lipsy's pieces are known to be more expensive, like the Kardashian Kollection, as it always seemed a bit too high in price for Dorothy Perkins. However, one negative of the change to Lipsy is that Dorothy Perkins were very generous with their offers and I don't think Lipsy will do the same, which is likely to make us less inclined to buy as much as we otherwise would.

Overall, I can't wait to see the new Kollection, and can only hope, although unlikely, that this time its the Kardashians themselves modelling it, as I always thought Dorothy Perkins were missing a trick in not doing so on their website. As well as this, I also hope that they begin to sell more than just the clothes, shoes and bags, as in the USA they sell underwear and home accessories that need to be in my possession!

OOTD - KARDASHIAN KOLLECTION SKIRT

Hey!

I'm one of those people who like dressing up for no apparent reason. I'd love to tell you that I went out somewhere which required a nice outfit, but I didn't. This outfits only outing was a trip to Sainsbury's! Obviously minus the heels.

Since escaping my more tom boy years, up until I was about... 10 years old, I've always liked dressing well, wherever I'm going. I go by the saying that if you think you look good, you feel better about yourself and your confidence. I feel a lot more confident if I think I look nice. Don't tell anyone but I sometimes even wear heels while I'm sitting at my desk writing whatever horrible assignment I've been set. It just makes me feel more professional and I guess I must be of the impression that this somehow helps my brain and thinking power... hmmmm each to their own!

Okay, this is getting too chatty and we're not even onto the outfit part!

The skirt is from the Kardashian Kollection, stocked by Dorothy Perkins and it was on sale!! Yeeeyy!! It's a cream colour and the PU, leather like material. It's high wasted and I think it would flatter most figures. The blouse is from Topshop, but a couple of years old. I wouldn't have normally paired the two together, however, in the Kardashian shoots, Khloe wore this shirt with a white blouse, so I thought I'd give it a go. I think it's a really pretty and feminie outfit. To avoid it looking too much of an overdose of light colours and too insipid, I added the black heels, belt and necklace, to give a tiny bit of edge to the outfit. The necklace is from Forever 21, the shoes from New Look and the belt from Primark.

You can get the skirt online and lots of the items are now on offer.
