CELEBRITY STYLE- JESSICA ALBA

I have always loved Jessica Albas style, even if she did play the bitch in Valentines Day! So on request here's another celebrity style of another well dressed girl crush I have. Jessica has such a cool, relaxed fashion sense, yet still stylish and chic, with a little edge here and there. She always looks great so I love taking inspiration from all of her outfit choices. Here are some similar alternatives to Jessica's outfit that I've managed to find, so that we can steal Jessica's style! *evil laugh.*

 1. Urban Outfitters £26. One day I will be brave enough to wear hats. Simple outfits like this one, where the accessories become the focus point, is where I would most likely be able to conjure up the courage to buy and wear a hat and this one would look great with so many different outfits.

2. Boohoo £15. To counter Topshop's high shoe prices I found these sandals n Boohoo, they are  slightly more plain, but this also means there's no chance of any features falling off!

3. Topshop £40. Despite recently posting a wish list post including boyfriend jeans, I have now discovered mom jeans which may have stolen the show in my wish list as they are slightly longer and give off a vintage Friends vibe.

4. Accessorize £6. These really are nothing like the outfit, however, when trying to find some earrings I found these that were too beautiful to leave out!

5. Accessorize £10. More like the photo these Dagger Studs are perfect to  dress up a colourless outfit like this one!

6.Topshop £55. For £40 more than the Boohoo shoes you can get slightly more detail and I can vouch for Topshop sandals lasting for years as long as they are worn responsibly!

7.Topshop £18. There are similar tops to these in Primark for around £4 however due to a lack of website choice I was forced to put the more pricey one on here. Although I may have stolen this exact top from my mum and wear it at least once a week because it can really just create any look required easily.

8. Jasper Conran £39. One very beautiful bag that is the perfect shape for any occasion this isn't quite the patent look of Jessica Alba's however I have recently adopted a craving for snake print and these colours together would mean it will go with any outfit.

9.Fossil £109. Just a smidge out of my price range, but for any of you that can afford to splash the cash it has now become a mission of mine to own a Fossil bag and this one is equally as beautiful as any.

10. Lola & Grace £24.90. Slowly becoming my new favourite accessory shop, Lola & Grace has simple yet very elegant and very versatile necklaces.

11. Dorothy Perkins £32. One consistency in my life currently is Dorthy Perkins daily emails with discount and money off online shopping and so, if you are looking for anything this should be the first point of call for everyone as the prices are steals at the moment!

Do you like Jessica Alba's style?

HANNAH'S SEPTEMBER WISHLIST

Hey everyone,
so, after extensive browsing through numerous websites and 'oooo'ing' with admiration over all of the pretty clothes and accessories  I have managed to create a rather big wish list that I need to buy! Here are some of the key items that need to be in my life.

 1. River Island £40. This pattern was originally used for a skirt which Georgia bought, so when I saw it in blazer form it caught my eye, it would look great for day or night.

2. Miss Selfridge £26. I like this dress as it's so casual but yet still feminine. It would be great to just chuck on, with some added jewellery for either day or night.

3. Miss Selfridge £39. This playsuit is a real epitome of the style I'm into right now; edgy but girly. The faux leather makes a great contrast to the pattern. I also like how high the neck line comes with the layered top as this keeps to the rules of breasts or legs, of the two I always go for the latter although not so much by choice!

4. Topshop  £42. I've wanted boyfriend jeans for a while, possibly because I struggle to hold on to a real boyfriend! I think these would look great with a prettier top so they are more feminine and maybe a statement necklace.

5. Matthew Williamson Butterfly £55-88. At the age of 13 I was facing the prospect of moving to Upper School to the terror of 18 year olds, all of who I was completely intimidated by! And so the summer preparation shopping commenced and I fell in love with a, rather pricey,  Matthew Williamson bag that my mum bought for me. However, she only did this with the promise I would use the bag for the entire year. Then in year 9, and now in year 13 I still use the bag everyday, and since then my admiration for Matthew Williamson's designs have grown. This bedding would be the fourth I have from the butterfly collection, each being very different in pattern and extremely unique. Although the only thing in the way of me owning this is the price; they are extremely expensive for bedding which means I wait for Debenhams 25% off which always gives you an extra 10% when checking out.

6. New Look  £24.99. I found these when I was making my Blake Lively outfit post, as they were the cover photo for the boots, and loved them immediately. I have found similar designs on many other websites however these had the best price and I have always brought and been happy with new look shoes for the price.

7. Topshop £8.50. These tights are super cute and would look great with a plainer outfit to add some fun and interest to it!

8.Miss Selfridge £39. Once again the display photos on clothes websites have forced me to want to spend more money. I'm fast approaching the age that I will attempt to start going out and socializing which means I will need a 'going out' wardrobe and this would look great in it I think! The different colours and textures of the dress really caught my eye and I love it.

9. Miss Selfridge £25. I love this style of shoe and have bought a few colour variations from New Look however, the size was always an issue for me there, seeing as I'm a very small 5 I bought 4's which are more pain than gain right now so I'm hoping that these will be a better fit!

10. Fossil £55. When I go out, normally shopping, I love seeing what other people decide to wear and how they style their outfits. This is how I came upon wanting to buy this purse; I saw someone with a plain purse similar to this however in brown, and so I set about trying to find one I liked. When shopping I came upon this, which is also sold in brown, however this season I'm becoming obsessed with variations of this colour and so hopefully will get this soon!

11. Never Fully Dressed £44. After finding this website through instagram, you may have seen the post, I began to make a shopping basket like I normally do, and after deleting half of the items convincing myself they would look horrible (a.k.a I can't afford them) I was left with this dress that is so unique, that it is top of the list!

12.Lola & Grace £19.90. I love New York Ink and I love the piercings and tattoos look, however I'm far too indecisive right now to commit to anything other than the occasional ear piercing. When I saw these at Westfield they seemed perfect; they're pretty as well as almost looking like ear stretchers, you may all be thinking I have weird vision but I can't wait to buy these although I may wait to hold back until Christmas as last year there was a sale, (bargain tip right there)!

CELEB STYLE | BLAKE LIVELY

Now, who didn't love The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants in their youth? A classic chick flick that doesn't just show the fun lives of 4 best friends but also actually opens your eyes to all types of real life issues that unfortunately effect all of us, be that family drama or death, which is rare to see in your typical chick flick.

Anyway I'm getting distracted! That was the first interaction I had with Black Lively, and ever since she has been on my admiration list! Although she became a household name in Gossip Girl I was more drawn to the books, so wasn't an avid watcher, however she still looked amazing throughout the series.

Once again I've been stalking looking at photos on Celebrity Style Guide and have found an outfit that I need to buy, but obviously, I have found alternatives that are slightly more in a realistic price range !

I can see this being the perfect outfit to take you from summer into Autumn. If it's a warmer day the tights and jacket could be removed. In my opinion Blake always rocks the causal look when not on a red carpet, obviously, and this is part of why I love her style; it's easily transferable to our lifestyle, for example I cant see myself sharing Miley Cyrus' recent wardrobe choices!

Here are some similar items that I've found, so we can all steal Blake's look!

1. I've always had a crush on River Island shoes however at £40 I'm far too indecisive to be spending so much on each pair of shoes, so I've generally been able to find alternatives in New Look however, for the sake of Blake I've chosen these as an alternative to the high heel.

2. After looking at numerous websites I had almost given up on a suitable bag, but then this came up as a suggested item on New Look and is £27.99 but equally beautiful. I shouldn't admit this, but I am yet to perfect walking in heels, and generally feel too conspicuous in them, so have always been a little more into bags than shoes the result being more bags than I can go out to use!

3. For those who prefer more figure hugging clothes, this River Island Jacket is £50 and very versatile for any Autumn look.

4. This bracelet is from Miss Selfridge and although I wouldn't intentionally look in there for jewellery I think it would look great with the outfit, adding a touch of glamour to the slightly tribal feel of the skirt, the bracelet is £7.50.

5. This skirt first attracted my eye while on a shopping trip and ever since I've been trying to find an excuse to purchase it, I think one has presented itself! It can definitely be styled for the day time or evening so at £34 and rated 5 stars on the website I can't see how it doesn't pay for itself! It's also available in both tall and petite - no excuse not to buy it!

6. Forever 21 has created these boots at £32.75, and although I am yet to own any ankle boots from here I did buy some Knee high brown flat boots last year and they have been perfect.

7. This Topshop Cashmere vest is £20 which seems a little expensive however after purchasing similar items I can't fault them,  they're super soft and as boring and bland, as it seems I love grey as it goes with any colours or patterns which I normally prefer to wear in blazers or skirts.

8. These boots are the closest match that I could find to Blake's. I personally couldn't ever wear them, which is why I've found some lower heel alternatives!

9. From Topshop, no surprise this is £85, however, I did buy a blazer very similar to this from River Island last year and wore it for weeks as it's warm without that 'preparing for a cold winter look'.

10. This jewellery piece isn't partially close to what Blake was wearing however when I saw it I had to incorporate it somehow, there seems to be a pattern with Topshop items here! It's £15.50 so I would for sure advice being patient and waiting for the sales seeing as most of the jewellery becomes half price, I seem like a bit of a cheapskate but when there's so many beautiful clothes to buy I need to be!

11. Finally this Topshop bag is £36 and beautiful... It almost brings back a fashionable nostalgia to the days when backpacks were the only bags to my name!

12. This bracelet is also from Miss Selfridge and costs £8.50. I think it would be a great addition to an otherwise fairly plain outfit.

I hope you've enjoyed my choices, this has been a very risky post considering now I have so many more clothes that I 'need' to purchase after looking at so many websites. Please tell me there's other people out there who constantly look up celebrity styles just so I don't feel quite as stalkerish!

OOTD - KARDASHIAN KOLLECTION SKIRT

Hey!

I'm one of those people who like dressing up for no apparent reason. I'd love to tell you that I went out somewhere which required a nice outfit, but I didn't. This outfits only outing was a trip to Sainsbury's! Obviously minus the heels.

Since escaping my more tom boy years, up until I was about... 10 years old, I've always liked dressing well, wherever I'm going. I go by the saying that if you think you look good, you feel better about yourself and your confidence. I feel a lot more confident if I think I look nice. Don't tell anyone but I sometimes even wear heels while I'm sitting at my desk writing whatever horrible assignment I've been set. It just makes me feel more professional and I guess I must be of the impression that this somehow helps my brain and thinking power... hmmmm each to their own!

Okay, this is getting too chatty and we're not even onto the outfit part!

The skirt is from the Kardashian Kollection, stocked by Dorothy Perkins and it was on sale!! Yeeeyy!! It's a cream colour and the PU, leather like material. It's high wasted and I think it would flatter most figures. The blouse is from Topshop, but a couple of years old. I wouldn't have normally paired the two together, however, in the Kardashian shoots, Khloe wore this shirt with a white blouse, so I thought I'd give it a go. I think it's a really pretty and feminie outfit. To avoid it looking too much of an overdose of light colours and too insipid, I added the black heels, belt and necklace, to give a tiny bit of edge to the outfit. The necklace is from Forever 21, the shoes from New Look and the belt from Primark.

You can get the skirt online and lots of the items are now on offer.

OUR OUTFITS OF THE DAY

It all seemed like a great idea; go for a walk in the countryside, in the lovely warm weather and while out take some photos for the blog. Well, this did all happen, however, I've now been dying of hayfever ever since. I'm so envious of Hannah and everyone else who doesn't suffer from hayfever, if you do suffer, you'll know how horrible it is and how useless the majority of the hayfever relief products are.

And yes, we have matching sunglasses... I like to copy Hannah.

Hannah's Outfit

I'm really loving poka dots at the moment; anything poka dot immediately catches my eye when shopping. This poka top is from Hollister and I love the cut out shape in the back, as it makes the top a little more interesting and I really love when tops and dresses have cool backs. The red shorts really brighten up the outfit and are quite high waisted, so work well with the top being a little on the cropped side.

Poka dot top - Hollister
Necklace - Forever 21
Earrings - Topshop
Shoes - New Look

Georgia's Outfit

This is such a cheap outfit. The necklace itself cost more than the top( christmas present), shorts and shoes put together. The top was only £4 from Primark! Can you believe that they still sell tops that cheap?! I bought two colours... as you do. One has already been washed and it's still in great condition, so I'd really recommend these tops if you're looking for plain coloured tops. The shorts are also from Primark and were around £10. They're really cute and can be left casual or dressed up.

Top - Primark- £4
Shorts - Primark- £10
Shoes - Forever 21

Hope you're all enjoying the warmer weather and if you've found any miracle hayfever remedies TELL ME! :)

CELEB STYLE - JESSICA ALBA

I hadn't heard much of Jessica Alba in regards to any films or acting roles that she has had recently, but apparently she has been busy, so wikipedia tells me anyway, when I quickly researched before writing this.

I have however seen a lot of photos of her just strolling around with her two daughters and I've started to really love her style. It's so casual and laid back but at the same time very pretty and polished. This outfit caught my eye as it's a really nice mix of edgy style, with the boots and black baggy top, but still a bit girly with the patterned skater skirt. It looks like something that can easily be thrown together, but each piece really seems to compliment the other and makes a great day time outfit, which would be great for this time of year. The outfit just looks so effortless but great. I love how different the top is, as although it's only a plain black top, I really like the different sizes in the straps and I could not find anything like it when looking! *cries a little inside*

CELEB STYLE - HILARY DUFF

We have always loved Hilary Duff - what young girl didn't watch Lizzie McGuire?! She's so pretty and she seems like one of the good celebrities; you never read anything bad about her, unlike *cough*  *Lindsey Lohan* *cough*... Anyway, lately we have also been loving her style. Although this look isn't your usual summer look, well lets face it, we don't have much of a summer in the UK generally so we thought this was a cool and effortless look that has the bright red jeans for some summer colour, but also has ankle boots and a khaki jacket in case it's not exactly hot outside. This would also be a good transitional outfit as it would be great for autumn/fall too. Hilary seems to have kept the outfit really simple and plain, however accessories with the  studded detail on the boots, lots of gold jewellery and a blue ring. It's a really great outfit if you're feeling like you want to look casual but still with a touch of glamour and edgy feel.

REVIEW & SWATCH: TOPSHOP'S PILLOW TALK LIPSTICK

Before I stumbled across the world of beauty blogs, I didn't think much of TOPSHOP'S make up; it never stood out to me and I just assumed it wouldn't be of that great quality.

However, I joined the 21st century and to my surprise beauty bloggers seemed to love the TOPSHOP range, especially the lipsticks!

Although, I was looking for a nice nudey light pink lipstick and keen to try out the TOPSHOP range, I didn't actually plan to buy it when I was making my TOPSHOP order. The thing is, I don't like paying for post & packaging and I didn't have enough in my bag to qualify for free shipping, so I decided to add a little £8 lipstick to qualify for free shipping.  Now I know this is a sneaky way of companies getting more from you as you end up spending more than you would have on the postage, however, I figured with postage being £4 and the lipstick £8, that wasn't too bad and I'd much rather get something I will end up buying anyway than pay that damn p&p!

Back to the actual lipstick then...

The lipstick is really true to colour, as shown on the website. It's a light pinky nude, but not insipid and wont wash you out as it's still got a little brightness in it... you know what I mean... It's also very well pigmented, so you don't need to keep building the colour to reach the shade the lipstick is supposed to be. TOPSHOP, suggest that you can team it with a gloss, however I am yet to try this, but I'm liking this idea, for a more shinny finish.

The finish of this lipstick is described as a velvet matte finish, so no shimmer. Initially I was a little apprehensive about the texture, as it didn't apply as smoothly as I was expecting, however, I'm pretty sure that this is only because I'm not used to applying lipsticks. Lately I've mostly been wearing the Revlon Lip butters, (you can read my review here) and the MUA Power Pouts, (review here), which are very moisturising due to their butter and balm textures. However, once applied the texture of the lipstick felt very creamy and moisturising and didn't dry my lips out. The lasting power is also pretty good for a lipstick.

I think the packaging is also really cute as it's so different from any other lipstick packaging and I don't think £8 is a bad price either, as it's a really good quality lipstick. I'm definitely going to give TOPSHOP's makeup collection a lot more attention from now on and I've already got my eye on some of the other shades and products. (I really did not need to find another makeup brand I like, but oh well)...
You can purchase the lipstick online on TOPSHOP's website

I would love to know what other TOPSHOP pieces are really great?

CUTEST SOCKS

This is a bit of a strange post, however, after discovering Topshops  new and some what quirky line of socks I couldn't resist buying them and showing you all!

At £8 for all three (3 pairs for £8 deal),I would consider them worth every penny as they are so cute and different from other socks. They're also really soft and feel pretty good quality. On top of all that, I've always had a soft spot for the animals, so really could not resist these.

Topshop had other designs in this style, which included Big Ben, a Palm Tree setting and some others, however I was unable to locate these anywhere in the flesh so will most probably order them online as who doesn't need socks!?
