LIEBSTER AWARD!

We've now been blogging for just over a month and we've seen a lot of these 'Liebster Awards' floating around, but unfortunately we were never nominated *sob sob.* However, last week we were nominated twice! *yeyyeyeyeyyeey!* 

Huge thank you to Amyloo and Shona for nominating us. (Go check out their amazing blogs)! As we were nominated twice and there's two of us... I bet you can see where this is going... We thought we would each answer one each. Hannah is answering Amyloo's questions and Georgia is answering Shona's. 

Okay, so here are the rules, in case you haven't already seen them 1million times.

Questions set by Amyloo:

1. What's your favourite type of book in terms of genre and why? 

Hannah: Comedy, I love reading my favourite comedians books I'm currently reading John Richardson's 'It's Not Me it's You' because they're a guaranteed enjoyable, funny read  and always give you a nosy insight into their lives!

2. Do you ship Klaroline from The Vampire Diaries? If not why not? (I don't need to ask why you would ship them, because I think the majority of us know already). ;)

Hannah:  I don't watch Vampire Diaries or even know what 'Klaroline' is or shipping... oh man...Google search it is!

3. McDonalds or KFC? (there's a tricky one for you). 

Hannah: McDonald, hardly ever go to KFC. 

4. Who's your favourite actress/actor and why? (Mines Johnny Depp). 

Hannah:  Hilary Duff, being from the Lizzie Mcguire era I used to watch her all the time and continued following her into her films and now follow her on instagram. She's one of the only 'Disney' teens that can still be a role model with no rehab stints! 

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go? 

Hannah:  New Zealand I need to tick off seeing The Hobbit set from my bucket list

 

6. Favourite clothing brand and why? (I always love finding out what other people are wearing) 

Hannah:  Ted Baker, I love the prints and style, if only I could afford more ! 

7. What's the one thing you wish you could change about yourself? (your all perfect in my eyes :) ).

Hannah:  Have super fast growing hair, its never long enough!

8. Would you rather play games for endless hours or take a shopping trip in London? 

Hannah:  It depends on who's paying for the shopping trip, but it would be a good workout too so I'd have to choose shopping!

9. Out of all the blogs you follow who's your favourite? (I promise this is not a trick question haha). 

Hannah:  I don't really have a favourite yet, but I really love blogs that you can tell have a lot of effort put into them and talk about the kinds of products I like. 

10. If you could be any superhero who would you be and why? 

Hannah: Cat Woman, I don't know much about superheros but the outfits cool. 

11. Brownies or cookies?

Hannah:Cookies all the way!

1. Did you have an inspiration to start blogging? if yes, who?

Georgia: I can't really remember how this all started, but somehow I came across Corrie's blog, from Dizzybrunette3. I loved her blog and was immediately drawn in. Her writing is so personal, friendly and humorous and she seems so sweet in her Youtube videos. So, I guess she was my main inspiration. 

2. If you could travel to one place right now, where would you go?

Georgia: Oh this is tough... If I didn't have to pay, it would probably be the Bahamas, for a nice relaxing and fun holiday. 

3. Favourite flavour of ice cream?

Georgia: Mint choc chip! But I also love chocolate. 

4. Favourite handbag item?

Georgia: Lip balm, I hate having dry lips! 

5. Sun or Snow?

Georgia: Sun for sure! I'd love to move somewhere where it's always lovely and sunny. I like the snow if you've gone skiing but generally it's just a hassle in the UK. 

6. Favourite type of shoes?

Georgia: I've always loved Mary Janes, but I just love heels in general now.

7. Bold eyes or bold lips?

Georgia: Bold eyes, but bold lips if I'm in a rush. It's so easy to just chuck on some bright lipstick, powder and mascara and you immediately look like you've made an effort. A bold eye is a little more time consuming. 

8. Favourite TV show?

Georgia: One Tree Hill, although it isn't actually on anymore, so probably Kardashians! 

9. Bath or shower?

Georgia: I hate baths, I always prefer to shower! 

10. Least favourite shop?

Georgia: Hmm...  Any 'home' shops, that sell, homey stuff, like cutlery, bedding... I find them so boring but Hannah loves them. 

11. Favourite colour nail polish?

Georgia: I Love a lot of nail colours, if I had to have a favourite, it would be red as it's so classic and really makes you feel done up. I also love light turquoise, pale pinks, navy and black.

TAG: WHY DO YOU WEAR MAKE-UP?

 

We came across this tag on 'Couture girl's' blog, in a post from last year and we thought we would give it a go too. It's only a few questions but you can go quite in-depth with the answers, so you  really get to know the blogger more. It's also pretty interesting as make-up just seems like something you do when you get to around your teenage years and we probably don't even really remember why we started wearing make-up. Was it purely because that's just what everyone else was doing or was there was any other reason?

1. When did you begin loving make-up?

Georgia: I can't really ever remember not being interested in make-up. I used to bite my nails when I was a young child and I remember being so excited when I had grown them enough and my mum would then paint them for me. After that I remember always being fascinated by all of her make up, the mosaic bronzer especially! I started wearing clear mascara to school some days when I was in year 5, so only 10 years old! That just seems terrible now! (ooops) But obviously it wasn't even noticeable. I was obsessed with the Dream Matte Mousse foundation when I was around 13 and was so happy when my mum let me buy it. The main other time that I knew I was really passionate about make-up was when I'd watch films and T.V and be paying as much attention to what the characters make-up looked like, to the actual story line! I was always trying to copy Marissa and Summer's make up off of The OC. 

Hannah: I think I started wearing makeup in middle school, of course a couple years before we were allowed, so it was very subtle! However it's only been within the last year that I have really fell in love with experimenting with makeup and also trying to copy other people's looks.   

2. How do you feel without make-up?

Georgia: Okay, this may seem weird, but I feel like I have two types of 'no make-up face'. One is where I look at myself and think I look absolutely horrific, to such an extent that I don't really feel comfortable with that look even in my own house and around my family and boyfriend. The other is where maybe I've fake tanned so my face at least looks a healthy colour and then I don't feel so bad... but then again would that count as make-up?? Oh dear.... Okay lets shorten that. I'm lucky my skin is never too bad, I get the odd spot but that's it, so I don't feel too terrible without make-up generally. However, some days, maybe around the time where I'm more stressed from uni and busy with deadlines, so I have worse under eye bags, then I'm not overly comfortable with my own appearance.

Hannah:  I've always had a personal rule; if my hair and make-up is done I'm not as bothered about wearing the perfect outfit and vise versa, this rule became necessary when I have to wear all the lovely uniforms that come with school and now working at Sainsburys while I do my A-Levels. However if I had to pick I'd much rather wear make-up as I feel even just a little can make you feel much more confident, in addition I've always had a red undertone to my cheeks which exaggerates in embarrassing situations and so make-up has definitely hidden some of my embarrassment in the past! 

 

3. What do you like about make-up?

Georgia: What a silly question! I LOVE everything about make-up, except the price!!! I really like how it can completely transform your face and enhance your natural beauty. I like how it can make people feel; I think it's amazing that a lipstick and some mascara, to say the least, can really make people feel more confident in themselves. If we feel like we look good, as shallow as it may sound, I believe that we do perform better and more positive if we are happy and confident in how we look. I love the endless amounts of looks that make-up allows you to create with just your one face. I especially love the reaction when you do somebodies make-up and you can just tell that they now feel so much prettier and confident in their appearance.

Hannah:I like how it can transform you on a day where you've maybe had not enough sleep,or just aren't feeling your best, into looking completely different to how you feel inside, as bad as that sounds it gives you the extra push to be confident and positive in life. However on a less deep note, it is also so much fun to experiment with and is an always developing industry so you can never get bored ! 

  

20 QUESTIONS TAG!

We found this tag on Shona's blog, 'Beauty Blogger from a little town'  and decided to give it a go, as we haven't done anything like it on the blog before and it looked pretty fun! So here goes and don't forget to check out Shona's blog, linked above!

1. Thing you cannot leave the house without?

Georgia: Some kind of make up on... you never know who you're going to run into!
 
Hannah: My Ipod, can't stand the silence, it makes any tedious journey fly by!


2. Favourite brand of makeup?

Georgia: I don't really have an overall favourite, but I do have favourite's for each product, like I love L'Oreal for mascara. I am however growing an unhealthy obsession with MAC.


Hannah:I have a huge range in my makeup bag normally going for whatever new product looks exciting.

3. Favourite flower?

Georgia: Either Roses or Gerbera's, as my boyfriend bought me a corsage with a pink Gerbera for our prom and roses, well they're just a classic.


Hannah:Irises as I love Van Gogh and his painting of them, the song, and they're my birthday flower.

4. Favourite clothing store?


Georgia: Either, River Island, Miss Selfridge, Forever 21 or Zara.

Hannah: Forever 21 as long as I have the motivation to get the entire way around the huge stores. 

5. Favourite perfume?


Georgia: Marc Jacobs Daisy, Jimmy Choo, Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted or Kim Kardashian Gold.


Hannah: Lady Million Paco Rabanne, it's been a surprise present from my two favourite people!

6. Heels or flats?

Georgia: I wish I could always wear heels and normally wear either wedges or a small heel during the day, unless I know I'll be doing a lot of walking, then flats are all I can deal with. Always heels for a night out.

Hannah: Haven't quite perfected my walk in heels so it will have to be flats.

7. Do you make good grades?

Georgia: Yes, I work hard!

Hannah: Of course, my competitiveness is non-existent in sport but strong in grades clearly making me nerdy!  

8. Favourite colours?

Georgia: Orange and turquoise.


Hannah: Coral

9. Do you drink energy drinks?

Georgia: Yep, I think it's necessary when you're studying law!

Hannah: During exam season I was going through three bottles of lucozade a day whoops!

10. Do you drink juice?
 

Georgia: Yes, I like anything fruity.

Hannah: Only on the days immediately after the weekly shop as I drink it all in about two days. 


11. Do you like swimming?


Georgia: I do but not often, I would love to have my own pool, then I'd swim all the time.

Hannah: I'm a complete water baby and have just bought a new swim suit to try and get back into it.

12. Do you eat fries with a fork?


Georgia: Yep, I also eat pizza with a knife and fork most of the time...

Hannah:Mostly but it all depends on where they came from. 

13. Favourite moisturizer?

 

Georgia: For body, I love all The Body Shop Body Butters, or Garnier 7 days intensive gel formular.

Hannah: The Body Shop Body Butters draw me in on appearance and smell.

14. Do you want to get married later on in life?


Georgia: Ummmm..... *Awkward* Not particularly.

Hannah: I don't really like dancing or heels so the wedding wouldn't be for me.
 

15. Do you get mad easily?


Georgia: I don't get mad, but I do get annoyed pretty easily.

Hannah: Yep  but its an internal thing for sure !

16. Are you into ghost hunting?


Georgia: The thought scares me, but it does interest me a lot.

Hannah: More into the idea of aliens really.

17. Any phobias?

Georgia: Foxes... long story...


Hannah: Slugs and frogs they're just super gross.

18. Do you bite your nails?

Georgia: Not anymore, but I used to when I was a child.

Hannah: I never had, if anything when I'm bored my nail varnish gets picked off.

19. Have you ever had a near death experience?

Georgia: I don't think so, luckily.

Hannah: The closest I would say is when a man swam over me trapping me underwater in a swimming pool, that's a stretch though!

  20. Do you drink coffee?

Georgia: Not regularly, but I don't mind drinking it, especially if it's in a Krispy Kreme cup, with doughnuts!

Hannah: I've tried but can't bring myself to yet, though it would be cheaper than the lucozade!
